Pilot Engines warrants to the original buyer that every product will be free from proven defects in material and workmanship. Pilot Engines warranty obligation will be limited, at our opinion, to repair or replace with another rebuilt engine. All warranty work must be preauthorized by Pilot Engines. To activate the warranty, all engines must be registered within 30 days from shipment. Complete Drop-In engines carry a full 2 year/unlimited mile warranty. The second year covers the long block only. The long block engines carry a 1 year/unlimited mile warranty. Off-Road applications are covered for 1 year/2000 hours. Promotes proper surface mating during the critical break-in process and chemically assists with piston ring sealing in high-performance and turbocharged diesel engines.

Keep in mind that we own a $35,000 balancing machine and we make money balancing an engine but we will not lie to you to tell you that it is necessary. Most shops charge a lot more to do one but we keep the cost to a minimum for those people who want it done. If we were building a Nascar engine that runs at 9,800 RPM, we would tell you that it has to be done.
COATED BEARINGS. Calico CT-1 is a Dry Film Lubricant coating that helps reduce friction and abrasive wear. It provides intermittent dry lubrication and is not affected by dust or dirt. CT-1 is specifically engineered to withstand the extreme conditions of today’s high performance engines. Professional engine builders enjoy a higher level of confidence with increased embedability, strength and durability.
WAGLER CONNECTING RODS. The choice of brand is up to you but we recommend Wagler because we don’t have to clearance the block for installation. Billet connecting rods are recommended for applications in which you plan to build an engine capable of exceeding 650 horsepower.
CARILLO CONNECTING RODS. Carillo may be the most well-known brand of billet connecting rods. Billet connecting rods are recommended in high horsepower applications over 650 horsepower.
The VT365 engine replaced the ever popular workhorse, the T444E in the 2003 International applications. The VT365 was produced up until the 2010 model years. The VT365 engine was also released in a similar version to Ford known as the 6.0L PowerStroke. The Ford 6.0 PowerStroke was used for the Ford F-Series Pickups for the 2003-2007 model years. The Ford E-Series vansåÊused the engine until 2010 model year. The VT365 Engine usedåÊan ECM (Engine Control Module) and a FICM (Fuel Injection Control Module) to control the engine and injectors. This was different from the previous generation engines that usedåÊan IDM (Injector Drive Module) and a ECM. The VT365 still used the HEUI injectors like previous generations PowerStrrokes, but G-2 version. The 6.0 PowerStrokeåÊengine produced up to 325HP with the additional of VGT (Variable-Geometry Turbo). The VGT turbo increased throttle response for these vehicles.The HPåÊin the International versions engines were dialed back for longevity. The VT365 Engine was used in many different applications and were highly customized for each one.
Just like the 6.0 PowerStroke, the EGR Cooler was one of the problematic components that need to be replaced frequently. If not it caused catastrophic engine failure. Bulletproof Diesel in Arizona came up withåÊa Stainless Steel Straight Flow Through design to replace the faulty one. ARP released special head studs instead of head bolts to alleviate the issues with the cylinder heads blowing head gaskets.
The VT365 engine did not suffer as many engine failures like theåÊ6.0L PowerStroke did. However the EGR Coolers did still fail but not as much. Possibly because of the lower horsepower ratings. Bulletproof Diesel still provided the EGR Coolers to In the Ford Applications every pony was carefully packed into the engine.
